Frame Up Restoration
When a car is restored from the bottom up, it takes about 350 hours on a good car to start with. Average restorations shop rate is approximately $100 per hour x 350 hours = $35,000 This is labor only, it does not include the initial cost of car, parts or paint needed!
Body Off Restoration
When the frame is separated from the body and redone and car is completely disassembled and put back together can take anywhere from 500 to 1000 hours. Labor alone, can range from $50,000.00 to $100,000.00, again, this does not include the initial cost of car or parts and paint.
