IN 1994, CHEVROLET INTRODUCED A REVOLUTIONARY VEHICLE. THE COMPETITION SCOFFED AT THE IDEA OF CREATING A HOT ROD FROM THE "UPSIDE DOWN BATHTUB" DESIGN -A FOUR DOOR, 4,000 POUND STREET MACHINE. IMPOSSIBLE? TO THE CONTRARY. ENTER THE IMPALA SS! THIS FOUR DOOR CORVETTE WAS SUCH A SUCCESS THAT THEY COULD NOT FILL PRODUCTION ORDERS IN 1994 AND BETWEEN 1994-1996, ALMOST 70,000 OF THESE VEHICLES WERE SOLD. THIS WAS THE FIRST FOUR DOOR TO EVER WEAR THE SS DESIGNATION. UNFORTUNATELY, AFTER DECEMBER OF 1996 THE IMPALA SS DIED WITH THE CANCELLATION OF THAT REAR WHEEL BODY DESIGN. HOWEVER, THIS IS GREAT NEWS FOR CAR BUFFS. THIS SHORT 3 YEAR RUN HAS CREATED A COLLECTOR MARKET FOR THIS CHEVROLET. THE FIRST YEAR MODELS HAVE JUST TURNED 10 YEARS OLD, AND ALREADY THE PRICES ARE COMING UP. AS THE YEARS PASS, THIS SUPER SPORT WILL BECOME A STRONG INVESTMENT QUALITY VEHICLE. THIS 1995 IMPALA SS IS BUILT AS ONE OF ONE BY THE OWNER. THERE ARE OVER $50,000 IN RECEIPTS FOR PERFORMANCE UPGRADES, INCLUDING MODIFYING THE ORIGINAL LT1 ENGINE INTO A BLOWN 396 C.I. STROKER MOTOR! EXTERIOR: Although two more colors were added in 1995, Black is still the Impala SS "recognition" color. This car has never been hit-all original body panels-original paint. Mirror finish with original factory decals on rear quarters. Cowl hood. Tinted windows. All glass in excellent condition. Paint is in great condition, with only a few chips and scratches from road use. Five spoke 17" SS wheels. Fit on all panels is excellent. Exterior remains stock in appearance- not chopped, cut, or modified.

INTERIOR: Factory leather interior is also stock in appearance-uncut-except for door pillar guages and a fire extinguisher. All the luxury options are still in place and functioning. Air conditioning, AM/FM/CD, cruise control, intermittent wipers, leather steering wheel, four wheel disc brakes, power leather seats, power steering, tilt wheel, bucket seats, dual front air bags, power door locks, power mirrors, power windows, power trunk release. All leather is supple, not hard or cracked, and in excellent condition. Door panels, carpet, head liner, package shelf all excellent. Factory dash in excellent condition. Gauge cluster on door pillar includes tachometer, water temperature, oil pressure, and boost.

DRIVETRAIN: This beast was converted from stocker to shocker by ANS Performance & Engineering in Melrose Park, IL. Restoration was done in 2000, and few miles have been logged since. The heart of this hot rod is the short block. The LT1 was bored and stroked to increase the size from 350 to 396. Completely balanced rotating assembly. Forged pistons. Billet 5.850 rods. Steel crank, 3.875 stroke. Race high capacity oil pan with Melling high flow pump. Roller cam. ATI balancer. Remote oil filter. High torque starter.

Vortech V-1 T-Trim Polished Supercharger. Maximum airflow-1,200 CFM, Maximum boost-26 PSI. 55 lb. injectors. Three bar MAP sensor. Mondo bypass valve. LT4 intake. Air Flow Research LT4 heads, ported and polished. 2.08" intake and 1.6" exhaust. Stainless steel valves. Hydraulic roller valve train. Upgraded moisture proof Opti-Spark Ignition. Aero Voltage Controller. Crane Ignition Retarder. Complete Speed Pro Interface Board and Software. Intercooler. Jet coated headers. Stainless steel exhaust. Awesome power is transferred through a modified 4L80-E four speed automatic transmission. Precision 9.5" torque converter. Trans cooler. Heavy duty balanced driveshaft with Metco driveshaft loop. Strange 9" differential with Strange 30 spline axles. Eaton 3.73 posi unit. Metco bars, upper and lower. Aluminum radiator with heavy duty cooling fans. Rear mount battery.

As stated earlier, there are receipts for over $50,000 just in performance upgrades with a total of over $80,000 invested in car. You have a chance to own this car for less than half of that amount.
