RARE, UNRESTORED ORIGINAL BARN FIND THAT WAS COSMETICALLY AND MECHANICALLY FRESHENED AT OUR RESTORATION SHOP. BELIEVED TO BE THE ONLY PACE CAR STILL SPORTING THE ORIGINAL INDY 500 DECALS AND STRIPES. DOCUMENTED IN THE PACE CAR REGISTRY.
THIS GEM WAS DISCOVERED UNMOLESTED IN ORIGINAL CONDITION IN A BUILDING. WHAT A FIND! BELIEVED TO BE THE ONLY PACE CAR WITH ORIGINAL DECALS AND STRIPES. TRUE INVESTMENT QUALITY PACE CAR. MINOR COSMETIC AND MECHANICAL UPGRADES TO MAKE THE CAR SAFE AND ROADWORTHY AGAIN. 66,679 ORIGINAL MILES. DRY MISSOURI VEHICLE.
All original, steel, body panels. When we purchased the car, the paint was somewhat oxidized and had a few flaws. The restoration shop performed some small paint blends, then applied clear coat over the original finish. All original stripes and decals were left untouched on the body. The original exterior now has a mirror gloss. Original glass is in excellent condition. Chrome and stainless also in excellent condition. Factory steel wheels and hubcaps.
Original engine and engine bay have undergone a cleaning, extensive detailing, and mechanical maintenance. Power Steering. Manual Brakes. Factory generator. Stock exhaust manifolds and factory exhaust. Runs and drives well. C-4 Automatic Transmission. 3.00:1 Rear Differential.
With the exception of the driver's seat, the complete interior is original. Driver's seat has been recovered.
Original carpet still in place. JVC AM/FM/Cassette has been installed, but the dash was not cut in any way and a stock radio will plug right back in. All interior components are in very good condition.
If you are more of a purist and enjoy originality, this Pace Car is for you. They are only original once. Great investment opportunity. With the 45th anniversary of the Mustang fast approaching, this car can only increase in value.
