Rochester Quadro- Jet carburetor mounted on stock intake manifold. Large Rectangular Port Heads. Stock exhaust manifolds flow into a full Flowmaster 2 1/2" exhaust. Mild hydraulic cam and valve train. Heavy duty radiator with 7 blade clutch fan and full fan shroud. Brand new clutch. Borg-Warner T-10 Four Speed Transmission. Twelve bolt rear differential.

Heavy duty front and rear sway bars. Power disc brakes with correct factory proportioning valve. Power steering. Subframe was removed during restoration- all new bushings and hardware. New suspension. Original floor pans are clean, smooth, and rust free.

1986 CORVETTE INDY PACE CAR CONVERTIBLE. RARE 4+3 MANUAL TRANSMISSION. COLD FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING. ONE REPAINT. ORIGINAL INTERIOR. NICE UNMOLESTED, ORIGINAL EXAMPLE. ONE OF 7,315 CORVETTE ROADSTERS BUILT IN 1986. ALL CORVETTE ROADSTERS WERE DESIGNATED AS PACE CARS IN 1986, AND ALL CAME WITH A DECAL SET, REGARDLESS OF COLOR.

1986 marked the return of the Convertible after a 10 year hiatus. The advanced engineering and design of this model paid instant dividends. The Vette was chosen to pace the Indianapolis 500.

This beauty is a clean, dry, Texas car. Basically an unmolested original. Stress free body has been refinished once in the factory Bright Red color. Paint is mirror gloss, with a few minor driving chips. Full set of Indy 500 decals have been reapplied. Black convertible top is in excellent condition. All glass is crystal clear. Newer style Sawblade Chromed Vented Sport Wheels. Directional radial tires. Front and rear factory spoilers. Dual Sport Mirrors.

Complete factory original drivetrain. 5.7 Liter TPI engine with aluminum heads. Engine and engine bay in stock configuration. Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, ABS( first year).

Unique manual transmission. This transmission was identified as the "4+3". In fact, it was a Borg Warner Super T-10 with an automatic overdrive in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dseigned by Doug Nash. 3.54 rear gear ratio.

Original Red leather interior. Carpet, door panels, dash, etc. in great condition. Six Way Power Driver's and Passenger Sport Seats with Lumbar Adjustment. Both seats are soft and supple. BEAUTIFUL FRAME UP RESTORED, REAL X22 CODE SUPER SPORT CONVERTIBLE. REBUILT DRIVETRAIN, NEW TOP, PAINT, AND INTERIOR. SHOW DETAILED THROUGHOUT.

EXTERIOR: Laser straight, all steel Tennessee body. No patch panels. Fit on all panels is precise and uniform. Body was stripped to bare metal. Fresh factory correct Code 57 Fathom Green Base Coat/Clear Coat paint. Finish is smooth, uniform, and buffed to a mirror gloss. Correct White Hockey Stripes. New White convertible top with new plastic rear window and White boot. All glass is in excellent condition. New front and rear bumpers. Front and rear spoilers. New door handles, emblems, mirrors, stainless trim, wheelhouse moldings, and grill. Factory SS hood with new chrome louvers. N66 Super Sport wheels have been media blasted and refinished. New P225/70R14 radial tires on all four corners.

DRIVETRAIN: Show quality engine bay. The original big block was replaced with a totally rebuilt 396-325 HP block assembled 3/29/68. Rochester Quadro- Jet carburetor mounted atop stock cast iron intake manifold. Chrome open element air cleaner and valve covers. Oval Port heads. Delco- Remy ignition. Stock exhaust manifolds attached to full Flowmaster Exhaust. Brand new heavy duty radiator. New hoses, clamps, fasteners, etc. Clutch fan and full shroud. The original big block heater core is still mounted on the firewall. Power Steering. Power Disc Brakes with proportioning valve. Engine runs as good as it looks.

Rebuilt Turbo Automatic transmission. Twelve bolt rear differential. Undercarraige is painted in 30* Gloss Black. Nicely detailed, and with this undercarriage, you can drive the car without hours of constant cleaning. All floor pans are original, straight, and rust free. New fuel tank. Upgrades and maintenance were performed on the chassis and suspension as needed.

INTERIOR: Parchment and Black Houndstooth bucket seat interior. Seat covers and cushions are brand new. New dash pad. Door panels, carpet, sill plates, seals, weatherstripping, jam seals, and window fuzzies are also new. Console and stirrup shifter in excellent condition. Super Sport steering wheel. The story behind this Show Car is as unique as the vehicle itself. Purchased new in 1979, the Camaro was pulled off the road after less than 3,000 miles. The magical transformation to World Class ISCA quality was under way!

This awesome Z 28 was completely disassembled by renowned restoration specialist George Becker, of Becker Automotive Specialties in Ohio. The body work alone involved thousands of hours of painstaking labor. ALL body seams, frame, firewall, and underpans were smoothed and filled. Even the floor pans/ rocker panels are completely smoothed and filled. There are no seams anywhere on this unibody. Shaved door handles with credit card opener. Frenched dual rear power antennas. The hood and trunk lid are molded. The car was then completely refinished in Red base coat/ clear coat with tasteful graphics. The cost of the paint and body work was in excess of $30,000. Smoked T- Tops. ZR-1 directional radials mounted on Budnik Billet wheels.

The original, numbers matching drivetrain is still mounted in the car! However, this drivetrain is as far from stock as you can get. 350 Cu. In. engine. Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission. The engine was completely disassembled. The entire block was triple chrome plated. Dual 24K gold plated Holley 600 CFM carbs are bolted to a GMC 6-71 chrome plated blower. Mallory Uni- Lite Billet distributor. Chrome plated Hooker Competition Headers and side pipes. Heads, steering box, brake booster, master cylinder, transmission, fenderwells, torsion bars, dust shield, hood springs, and core support are also chrome.
Valve covers, trans pan, and oil pan are gold plated.
The undercarriage and suspension are even more breathtaking. Front suspension, front and rear springs, gas tank, gas lines, driveshaft, differential housing, drums, calipers, and rotors are chrome. Differential housing cover, gas tank straps, and backing plates are gold plated.

Custom Oyster tweed interior. Hand made Oyster carpet panels. Grant GT steering wheel. Digital tach and gauges. Tilt wheel. The interior is adorned throughout in gold. Dash face, shift handle, trim pieces, and handles are 24K plated. No one has ever even sat in this car with shoes on!

Absolutely no expense was spared in the construction of the "Endless Dream". This gorgeous Show Car was the result of the dedication and meticulous labor of a true automotive visionary. This Machine must be viewed in person to appreciate the perfection. This Camaro was restored to levels that many only dream of.
